Hi, I am looking for information on the Drennans, Drennens, Drennons, spelling now Drenning. My grandmother was Pearl A. Drenning from Bedford, PA.. her father was Charles Ross Drenning I have searched and gotten as far as 1731 but no farther back into scotland or ireland, any help would be appreciated.

I am researching my Drinnen-Drenning-Drennon-etc Family. I am at a brick wall at this point, and here is what I know. My great grandfather was Hensley Joab Drenning born in 1823 in Tennessee and married Isabella Drucilla Shope 1846 in Macon Co., NC. Hensley Joab Drenning's father was Thomas Drenning and mother was Mary?. Thomas must have passed away before 1850 because the 1850 census shows Mary Drenning living with their daugther Eliza Ann Miller in the 1850 & 1860 census in Franklin, Macon Co. N.C. Hi,

My hat is off to you!   I am searching for information on one family, and you have done a wonderful job on so many!!

I am sure the answer to my question will be "sorry, no information" but I will ask anyway.   This is in regard to the Lale family.  My grandmother is the granddaughter of Emeline Lale and Harrison Swink.  I am searching for information on Emeline's mother Catherina "Katy" Lewis.  So far all that I can find is the date that she married John Lale.  Have you any idea who her parents where or what state she was born in?

I would be very grateful for anything that you could share.
